Each lottery has 10 numbered balls. The best finisher in the bracket holds 4, then 3, 2 and 1. When a team's ball is drawn, all of that team's balls come out and the rest are drawn again. The last team left takes the bracket's last pick. Picks 9–12 go to the top four playoff finishers, Champion picking last.
